Sorry for the delay in posting, but it’s been quite crazy around here! We are on the road right now on the way back from Michigan, and before that we had our Australian friends visiting for a couple of days! They have come out to visit us a couple of times now, and we are so blessed that they’re able to make the trip.
Now I know you’re wondering how I have Aussie friends. When I was younger, I did an internship at Sea Life Park in Hawai’i. It was one of the most amazing experiences of my life for many reasons, but the most important being that I met one of my best friends, Bec. She and I interned and lived together. She’s been out three times to visit me, once being on the way home from the internship. The second time she brought her now husband, Luc, and he came this time too! Josh and I are starting to put a firm plan together to take a trip to Australia with Harry to visit in a couple of years.
Bec and Luc just got married at the end of February, and I was heartbroken to not be able to be there. Thankfully, they had plans to come to the US for their honeymoon and do a long trip like last time. They visited Disneyland, Denver (Luc is a huge NBA fan – specifically the Nuggets), us in Jersey, Chicago, and Hawai’i.
They were with us for five days and it was a really great visit! They had plenty of time to hang out with Harry, which was really amazing. We just hung around and caught up for a good portion of the trip, but we also did a little shopping and had a dinner with some friends of mine that they’ve become friends with too. We all treated them to a nice dinner in celebration of their recent nuptials. I miss them already, but today they’re off to Hawai’i for a much deserved tropical getaway!
